2. Is there a prize
package for the winners?
Ther prize
package gets larger each month as we get new sponsors. Keep
an eye out on the prize package page for updated prizes.
3. Is this strictly
a bikini contest?
No. Because Hawaiian Tropic seeks models who can represent
them as a model and spokesperson as well, the winner must be
articulate and comfortable speaking in front of a group as well as
look great in any outfit she wears. However, because the product
lines being represented are tanning products, the score on the look
of the delegates in a swimsuits carries a great deal of
"weight" in determining the winner.
4. What are the
categories of the competition?

5. How will the
judging be determined.
Each judge at the
preliminaries will have a score sheet where the delegates will be
rated on a scale from 1-5 with 5 being the best score in each of
the categories. The to 12 delegates with the highest scores
will be announced a the final competition. The score cards will be
wiped clean at the time and the top 12 candidates will compete in
front of the audience in the 3 categories.
6. What are the
rules and regulations of the competition?
Delegates must be
between the ages of 18 and 34. Delegates must be a
biologically born female. Delegates/Winners cannot be
employed as adult entertainers or as dancers at gentlemen's clubs.

8. Where will
the various events be held?
The locations of
each events will be announced prior to each event.
9. What
opportunities will winning give me?
Winners of the
Hawaiian Tropic International Model Search San Antonio will make
periodic appearances at community events throughout the year
representing their title. Earning the title and committing
to being out in public making appearances will give the
titleholder a once in a life time opportunity to develop their
people skills and bragging rights forever. Using the title in a
positive manner in the community is priceless.
10. What is
expected of me if I win?
Producers of the
San Antonio competition have negotiated with their sponsors the
possibility of the winner having to make appearances 2 corporate
events, in 2 commercials and 2 print ads. Should the
sponsors require to use the winner as talent, the winner will be
required to be on time to the production. In addition to
that, the winner may be required to make special appearances at
other events throughout the year.
11. Will my
expense be paid, if I am required to travel while I am the reigning
Miss Hawaiian Tropic SA?
Should you be
required to travel outside of San Antonio by the producers,
expenses may be paid pending sponsorship.
12. What are
the physical requirements for me to compete
Delegates must be
height/weight proportionate and toned to be able to compete and have a
chance to win at the International level.
13. If I win,
who will pay my expenses to the State competition?
The winners
expenses to State will be covered by the producers of the regional
competition.
14. Are tattoos and piercings
acceptable?
Tattoos must not be
visible to the judges. Any visible tattoos must be covered up with
makeup. The only visibly allowed piercings are ear
piercings.
15.
Do I have to be a single woman to compete?
Any
woman regardless of marital status can enter.
16.
Can anyone enter the competition?
Only
women who are biologically born female are eligible to compete

Can I be a title holder in another pageant, while I compete in this
pageant.
As long
as your official reign is over by the time you win the title at
Hawaiian Tropic, their should not be a problem on our end.
However delegates who have a title from another pageant system, are
not eligible to compete, unless they bring a release from the
pageant system where they reign releasing them from all
their obligations with that system.
18.
Who will supply my wardrobe to compete?
Delegates
must supply their own wardrobe for the competition.
19.
What is the wardrobe I will need to compete?
You will
need the following:
a) a
bikini - no thongs or g-strings are permitted. those who wear either will be automatically
disqualified.
b)
2 cocktail dresses (a fashionable dress and matching shoes and
accessories)
c) an
evening gown
d) an
costume or outfit to be announced prior to the finals. In
2008, the delegates wore Hawaiian Skirts.
